If you have an Instagram, but aren’t sure how to use it, then this post is for you.
- Figure out your ideal client. This will help you determine what type of content you need to be posting. The content should be something your client wants to see.
- Make a schedule for posting. Once you have a following, they’ll be expecting your posts. So, you don’t want to post one day this week, then 3 days the next. Pick a consistent schedule that you can stick with.
- Creating a content calendar will help tremendously. If you have an idea of what to post each day, this will save you so much time. I create my calendar around the first day of the month.
- If you do not have the time to post, look into a scheduling app like Planoly.
- Figuring out the best time to post, will take a little bit. Just try to keep track of when you have the most engagement, and try to post at that time each day. If you use “later” to schedule, it will select the best time to post for you.
- In your bio, add something about what you do, and add a call to action. Use a link to book a call, or to get to your website.
- For your photo, use your face or your logo, it is really a personal preference.
- Always use hashtags for your post, you can use up to 30. I use some hashtags related to my post, some related to what I do, and the rest are related to my ideal client. Just mix it up a little bit.
- Always engage with your followers, like or comment back. If they respond to your story, make sure you respond back to them.
