#Hashtags#

If you are using social media, you’ve heard of  #hashtags#

Hashtags are the way to get your post and advertising exposed to a large client base for free. Call it the modern version of social media marketing

The question remains how to choose these trending hashtags. You need to choose  hashtags that compliment your businesses’ social media strategy.

I personally have made at least 10 lists of 30 different hashtags that have a wide range of usage-volume for my social media page.

I try to avoid hashtags over 700k; unless my content is constantly ranking, it will most likely get buried very quickly. With the higher ranked hashtags, they are more popular, but that also means they refresh constantly, so you’ll get lost quickly.

When I create my lists, I try to do a 10-10-10 rule. 10 hashtags my ideal client would use, 10 hashtags around my services, and 10 hashtags around the post I made.

I aim to keep most of my hashtags between the 50k-500k range, but I have used hashtags with more because it does work well with my post for the day. It is okay to use a hashtag with more, just don’t use a lot like that. You want to be able to be found using hashtags too!

Your sweet spot will be using a good range of medium and low-volume business-specific hashtags. Think about tags your ideal clients may be following – hashtags involving the problems you fix, the services you offer, and niche-related topics.

Flick.tech is a great app and one I use to help you find hashtags. You can easily create your lists & then go research the hashtags!

Welcome to the world of hashtags!!!
